Week 9: A Meditation on Your Own Good

This week, I was interviewed by YogaPeeps. One of the questions was, If you had a huge audience that filled a stadium, what would you do with them? The answer that came to mind is a meditation on your own good. I share that meditation with you this week. The sound file will guide you through a short meditation that helps you tap into the part of you that easily feels compassion and connection. It is an antidote to the critical self-talk that usually fills our minds.

I suggest that you practice this meditation in a restorative heart-opening pose. Below is a picture of one possibility.

You can also consider the poses shown on this page. Whatever pose you choose should be comfortable enough to stay in for at least five minutes.

The meditation ends in a seated position, with a mudra vinyasa. The whole practice will take about ten minutes, and it is an excellent way to end your day.
