Commute Antidote
The following restorative poses open the chest and restore the natural curve of the lower spine. These poses are the perfect antidote to long commutes or sitting at a desk all day.
Supta Baddha Konasana - no props
Supta Baddha Konasana - with rolled blanket/bolster for chest opening
Supta Virasana, with knees wide and arms overhead This final pose can be made less intense by placing a blanket or bolster under the shoulders and back, so that the torso is level with the hips. This pose can also be supported with a small rolled towel or blanket under the lower back.
