March 2006 Newsletter Contents
FEATURES
My monthly review of recently published, peer-reviewed articles about yoga and other mind-body practices. This month, summaries of four new studies: 1. Yoga and pranayama help overweight teens lose weight.
Inspiration for yoga students and teachers. This month: "What do you do when difficult emotions come up during yoga practice?" An email exchange between a student and myself that brought both of us to tears - and reminds yoga teachers why we teach yoga in the first place.
Breathing and meditation practices to awaken compassion, awareness, and healing. This month: A Breath Visualization. Bring an awareness to the spine that will make it easier to find a natural alignment and energy in any yoga pose.
